		May 2009 KIM & AGGIE call in DM DESIGN! DM Design assisted Kim Woodburn and Aggie Mackenzie– the nation’s Cleaning Queens - last week in transforming the home of another housework-phobic member of the public! Their target was a gentleman from Glasgow. His housekeeping sins included a house covered in Scalextric models. He also had kitchen units which had fallen off the wall, so he had just left them lying where they fell!
Kim and Aggie wanted to show him how to de-clutter and manage the mess, so they called in DM Design for a storage solution. We fitted him a brand new kitchen unit last week. Look out for the new series being broadcast on Channel Four where you’ll see our fitting team helping out the lovely Kim & Aggie! (I don’t think they wore such stylish gloves though)

Kitchen Trends – From Mix & Match brights to stylish neutrals…

Recently we have noticed a huge shift in popularity towards modern minimalist kitchen door styles and particularly high gloss styles. We now have high gloss kitchens available in black, red, burgundy, cream, white, oak (horizontal grain finish), walnut and mocha to suit a variety of preferences. Colours such as black and red give a dramatic finish , and adding a dramatic and individual stamp to the look of the home seems to be a big kitchen trend at the moment, with many DM Design customers choosing to “mix and match” colours, making a feature of certain areas of the room. Some people prefer to maintain a more neutral style and colour choice, as for appealing to potential future buyers they feel this is the best option. We have tried to give a wide variety of options within the DM Design fitted kitchen range which are modern without being too “out there” to suit this market.
