Founded in 1984 by Managing Director Donald Macleod and his wife Ann, DM Design has grown over the years from a true family start-up with the first base of business being the family garage, to the present day state of the art manufacturing facility in Cumbernauld where kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms are now custom built to order.
With the extensive range of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms available in the wide choice of styles, designs and colour combinations on offer the choice is endless.
AS SCOTLAND’S LEADING PROVIDER OF KITCHENS, BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS, DM DESIGN IS TREMENDOUSLY PROUD TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY DESIGNS TO OUR CUSTOMERS THROUGHOUT THE UK.
Quality Without Compromise
With our long history and years of experience DM Design can be relied upon to supply top quality products and streamlined service.
Each cabinet is bespoke and individually built and assembled in our factory. We do not mass produce our cabinets and we do not deliver anything as a flat pack. By assembling each cabinet in our custom-built factory, we can ensure a quality build.
We take care of the full process: We design, plan, manufacture, deliver and install your order.
Our family business ethos runs throughout the company spine with a family member in most key positions. From directors through to managers of sales and accounting, we have 3 family generations working for the company today. DM Design is a true family business in every sense.
Our family ethos is transferred throughout our staff whose longevity spans the length of our existence. We have a number of long serving staff members of over 35 years creating a great family atmosphere and togetherness.
Charity & Community Support
Our local community has always been greatly important to us. We sponsor a number of local clubs and societies. Charity work is also a core part of the DM Design ethos and we regularly participate in charity fundraising events.
One of our recent charity events was with our Cumbernauld team completing the ‘Off the Beatson Track’ charity walk. This was for the Beatson Cancer Charity. The team also followed this up by holding a yellow themed Halloween day in the office to raise more money for the Beatson Cancer Charity too.
We take environmental issues seriously and as a lot of our work involves manufacturing, we ensure that we do our bit to be environmentally conscious. We’ve installed a biomass boiler as an innovative and environmentally friendly way to deal with the waste produced at our factory in Cumbernauld. This boiler is fed with a variety of old wooden doors, floors, worktops and offcuts from the houses that we renovate and serves to heat the factory. This is just one of many practises that we undertake to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve the environment.
