PROJECT MANAGER

Project Manager

When you buy a DM Design kitchen, bedroom or bathroom, not only are you looked after by an experienced DM Design Sales Designer, you are also cared for throughout the installation process by our Project Manager. Giving you peace of mind that you are in safe hands every step of the way.

This is a vital position in the business, and one we are looking to fill at the moment.

Once our Sales Designers have designed a customer’s room, the mission falls to you as their dedicated Project Manager, to make their dream a reality. It’s a vital role in which all your skills and knowledge will be called upon throughout the installation process, from start to finish. You’ll carefully manage multiple projects at any one time. Our Installation Project Manager will work closely with our Operations Director and connect with our designers, customers and installers, clearly communicating progress at every step.

Working out of our head office in Cumbernauld, you will be responsible for:

• Taking complete project ownership, which means you’ll need to communicate clearly and effectively with installers, building contractors, store managers, design teams and most importantly our customers to ensure world class service delivery.
• Guiding our customers through the project and installation process, discussing and agreeing delivery dates and expected timescales whilst being on hand for any questions that might arise throughout.
• Reviewing designs and carry out thorough checks alongside our Sales Designers to ensure the forthcoming installation process meets the DM Design standard, functionality and of course, regulation.

  • Booking and managing our site surveys while communicating with the customer throughout.
    • Compile all relevant installation paperwork for our team of DM Design approved tradesmen.
  • Management of full installation schedule, reporting directly to our Operations Director, to ensure all install and remedial visits are planned and carried out through to completion.

You’ll bring previous hands-on experience of fitting and managing installation projects and a sound knowledge of the associated regulations such as gas, plumbing and electrical works. You’ll have knowledge of MS Office and able to read and understand CAD design and architect drawings. You’ll also have a good knowledge of health and safety. You’ll be someone who takes immense pride in your work, always keeping an eye on the details and wanting to ‘do the right thing’. We offer a competitive salary and a great range of benefits. EXPERIENCED ELECTRICIAN

Experienced Electrician

DM Design is actively seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Electrician to assist with installations of bespoke kitchens.

Established in 1984, with our main showroom in Cumbernauld, DM Design specialises in the design, manufacture, build, delivery and installation of Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. About the role

We require a hard-working, focused individual capable of working in a team on a variety of projects nationwide. Reporting to the Operations Director, the ideal candidate will be passionate, motivated and capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment. Customer relationship management is a key success to this role as you will be the main point of contact throughout the installation.

  • Technically competent Electrician.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work under pressure and able to maintain deadlines.
  • Manage own workload.
  • Must be able to understand kitchen design drawings and architectural drawings.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in domestic, with commercial advantageous.
  • Have 17th or 18th Edition qualification
  • Candidate will hold an approved recognised trade qualification such as City & Guilds, SVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • A valid CSCS card is also useful.
  • Building work experience is advantageous.

SALES DESIGNER

Sales Designer Vacancy

At DM Design we have a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our sales team.

We need a talented sales person to sell, plan, survey and design kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms with our full catalogue of products.

IT skills are essential and ideally you may have already used a CAD package, but this is not essential as full training will be provided. The candidate must hold a full driving license & have access to their own vehicle.

Summary of the Role

To plan, design and sell, with the aid of computer aided designs (CAD), the full range of DM Design products, keeping in mind safety and practicality, with the objective of achieving and exceeding company sales and growth targets.

You’ll understand who the competition is and demonstrate how we differ. And you’ll also deal with all customer queries as professionally and quickly as possible; taking responsibility for the end-to-end sales process.

The Role

  • Plan, design and sell inspirational kitchens, bedrooms & bathrooms using the Company’s range of products with the highest level of customer service.
  • You will be required to visit sites to measure and evaluate the customer’s needs.
  • Previous design (CAD) and/or sales experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Correctly process estimates, pricing, delivery dates and stock requirements for your customer.
  • You will be required to use your own vehicle during business hours.
