In response to the latest Government guidelines, our operations here at DM Design are being put on hold.
We’ve decided to close our factory and offices in an effort to help prevent the spread of the virus among our co-workers and the wider community. We have a responsibility towards everyone we would normally come into contact within our daily working lives.
We have several installations that are already in the process of being completed, and in the interests of our valued customers, who we cannot leave without basic cooking and hygiene facilities, our installations department have agreed to continue for the next few days to complete these while taking the necessary precautions, and in line with the recommendations of BiKBBI. Thank you to our teams and their families for your support at this difficult time.
We hope to be back up and running as normally as possible in the not too distant future, but like everyone else we are subject to Government Guidelines and ensuring the safety of everyone.
For all our current customers awaiting the progress of their purchases, all being well, we are hoping to begin to resume operations as soon as we have some clear dates from the Scottish Government for safely entering people’s homes. We will update with revised dates as and when further announcements are made.
Whilst the offices are not manned, we will be doing our best to deal with emails and please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have.

COVID-19 Home Visit Strategy – Update 19/06/2020
Because the safety of our customers and staff is more important than anything else, the way we do our home visits will be a little different during these unprecedented times:
To keep you & our staff safe, we have adopted the following five step process:
1.Prior to your appointment, every designer must tell us whether they or anyone in their household has shown signs of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. If there is the slightest doubt they may have been in contact with the virus, the designer won’t be permitted to carry out any visits until we know it’s safe for them to do so.
2.We will contact you within 24 hours of your appointment time to check if you or any occupants are self- isolating, displaying any symptoms of COVID19, and/or have received a positive diagnosis. If this is the case, then the appointment will be deferred until a later date.
3.Every designer will bring their own hand sanitiser along with them.
4.Please do not be offended but the designer will not shake your hand or share equipment.
5.Finally, our designer will respect the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines by staying at least 2 metres apart whilst in your house.
