Donald MacLeod established DM Design in 1984, when he began hand-crafting furniture from his garage in Airdrie. Donald was passionate about high-quality craftsmanship and was keen to bring this to his career and the products he was creating.

About Donald MacLeod

His hand-crafted furniture business grew and now DM Design’s Donald MacLeod is able to provide quality kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms across Scotland – and further afield too.

As the business grew, it was important to Donald that the business took responsibility for charitable work and community support in its local area. He therefore ensures the team take part in fundraising activities, such as sponsored walks and fancy dress days.

Over the past three decades, the company has raised funds for Scotia Aid, The STV Appeal, Cash for Kids, Epilepsy Scotland and the Nepal Earthquake Appeal. Donald Macleod is also a proud supporter of charity Nordoff Robins, which provides music therapy services to adults and children.
